Brief Encounter CD
I designed the cover, lyric book and CD design for a local indie folk musician Anna Knight, for her debut album titled Brief Encounter. The album was sold for £5 with all money going to the Food Bank.
The Scratch magazine
I designed this article title 'What it's like having a birthday at Christmas' for the BCU Student magazine, The Scratch. I will hopefully be doing more design work for them in upcoming issues.
The Night Owl listings
This listings poster for the Night Owl in Birmingham was made as part of my work experience with Maryam Snape, freelance PR and Events specialist who works with the club. I looked at previous listings posters the club had used and tried to stick to similar design choices with font, colour, etc. to fit the genre of music the club plays.
American Idiot redesign
This was one of the first things I designed in InDesign. In my first year Visual Design module (MED4110), we were set a task to redesign an existing album cover. I decided to go one step further and do the back as well, turning the iconic original design of Green Day's 2004 album American Idiot into a flag with a dunce cap on the front and a school report card on the back, playing heavily on the name of the album.
Not_So_Nick Merchandising
A small Twitch streamer I'm a moderator for was thinking of creating some merchandise for his viewers to buy and support him with, which I decided to create. I chose phrases that would be recognisable as in-jokes to fans and created designs around them, often incorporating his 8-bit heart logo. Once he reaches the 1,000 follower milestone, he has asked me to look into suitable websites he could sell my designs on. They were created in Photoshop and inserted into a free-to-use mockup.
Top to bottom, left to right: Sonic Forces logo compared to Not SoNick Forces t-shirt (a play on the streamer's pseudonym), Nickflix and Chill (based on the meme 'Netflix and Chill), You Got Zubbed (as one of the mods, Zaop32, has a tendency to gift subscriptions to viewers of the channel), and a simple shirt front and back with Not_So_Nick's logo and name.
